10$ egg tart and a very tasty lemon drink. The tart was ok, just ok, I’ve tasted better in Hong Kong.
After reading about this cafe I think I just expected better. Still worth a visit though, it’s in a lovely area. Well actually…the whole of Hong Kong is a lovely area.

This place used to be known for egg tarts, but this has become a major disappointment. The egg tart was served near cold and when asked they said the tarts had been keep in lukewarm cabinet. I think the drop in diners impacted the sales velocity of the tarts and they are there sitting for hours. Overall the taste was mediocre at best and the hk milk tea was bitter and tannic.

Decent HK 茶室. pork chop is juicy and tender, ice lemon tea is refreshing. Grumpy old waiter hyped up the atmosphere. Had the mille feuille takeaway, nth to shout about.
Traditionally cha-chasm-tang. Ordered a takeaway egg tart from their grab-and-go bakery. The egg tart is still good. Freshly baked, full of egg flavour. Their egg tart style is puff pastry type instead of cookie type. I personally has no preference so I do enjoy this. 10HKD per tart is reasonable priced. Worth grab one if you passing by it.
Overrated place online. Egg tart is good but that’s all. If you like flakey style, you might like this. Pineapple bun and French toast is normal but overpriced.
Traditional char chan teng with good quality milk tea and egg tart. Milk tea costs HKD22 and egg tart costs HKD11. Went weekday morning at 10, so wasn't crowded and food was served promptly. The only downside is the unpleasant smell when stepped into the cafeteria but I guess was overpowered by smell of food when it was served.

Been coming here for decades. Kitchen items sadly became a shadow of their former glory. Hence the 3 stars are for the kitchen. Bakery items.,especially the egg tarts on the other hand still reign supreme.
