This is how retro theme done right. Decor, menu & service flow all exhibit a touch of old world charm & class. I selected the Laksa + Mini banana boat from the quarter past three high tea menu. The Laksa was ok but not as good as way back when they first started. The mini banana boat was quite enjoyable. Portions were smaller than before and I guess inflation is the culprit. The only weak link was the iced lemon tea which was rather weak. An ideal eatery to reminisce about the good old days.
Aged folks need to beware of the stairs that require steep climb & descend !

Pretty decent chiu chow eatery. Comfortable & well spaced seating. Food above average and reasonably priced. Excellent service. The star attraction is a good sized veranda with a great view of our city.

First ever visit and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The iced Yuen yang was how it should be concocted. The egg in the corn beef toasted sandwich deserved a special mention. It was so fluffy & tasty that it really is a class act. Sure will come back & try other items on the menu.
Pork cutlet curry for tea today. The cutlet is very ordinary. Neighbourhood fast food joint’s kind of quality. Slightly disappointed.

Came for early diner and picked 粟米肉粒飯+XO醬西芹鷄球飯off the menu on the wall.

Been coming here for decades. Kitchen items sadly became a shadow of their former glory. Hence the 3 stars are for the kitchen. Bakery items.,especially the egg tarts on the other hand still reign supreme.
