Dropped by for a short dessert break.. The cafe is pretty crowded, food served pretty fast. The bingsu portion is big for 3 pax sharing.
Been coming here at West Mall outlet almost every week for breakfast, over the years. Unfortunately the staff have slacked. Eg. Overcooked soft boiled eggs, toast bread served COLD and not crispy (probably toasted lots of bread in advance so it got cold and crispness has gone by the time they serve with a thick chunk of Margarine on it). Asked for Tea-C less sweet but is no longer milky like last time. Very diluted. Mistakes like these keep repeating. The only thing still nice is the Tuna toastwich but doesn’t come with a set so it’s expensive. Time for the owner to spot check this outlet. Unfortunately, after many times repeated poor food, it’s time for me to find an alternative place. For breakfast pls help make people happy to start the day well but paying this expensive meal for lousy food makes me angry instead. If you appreciate my honest review, please click the like button… at least I feel happy (to compensate for it haha)
Used to frequent this branch until the wait time became just too long for me. I was 3rd in queue and when I got my food (1 peanut toast), it was ~25mins. Not sure if this is within standard wait time across all branches or f&b of this nature. The many Grab orders coming through could be a factor. Would be appreciated if the management can re-assess the operating flow/procedures as I can see the staff were already doing their best.
Very bad experience at this outlet, RIGHT AT THIS TIME. the cashier was rude and giving attitude since the time she was taking our order. We ordered 3 eggs and she only gave 2 and still ask us “why are you standing there for?”. When her colleague was going to give us the 3rd egg, she was talking rudely to her colleague while telling her that she need to check. Didn't even apologise when she realised it was her mistake. Clearly wont come back here again.

Ordered honey baguette, they are very generous with the butter that I can’t even eat more than 3 bite. It’s so oily and the bread is saggy, don’t know if it’s a chewing gum or baguette. Cappuccino is fine, but food is nah. Enjoy coming over for weekend but now need to find new spot. Wont recommend the food tho, but drinks and chill are fine.
Tl:dr cheapish for dishes. Comparable to food court price. The food i ate is nice.

Service getting poorer and poorer, because staff are getting more rude. I don’t feel like patronising this store anymore because in my various visits I kept meeting a different staff being rude to me. For example, the cashier didn’t give me my buzzer and I asked for it but another staff just screamed at me. No respect given to customers even if they are regulars. It will be wise to improve service standards because I have seen one staff asked for her employee number by an angry customer who wanted to email a complaint to their management.

While I am never a fan of Toast Box food items, I admired their sensitivity to the food trend, having tried their 'new' items - Seseme Butter toast & Red Bean Butter Toast recently. Personally I prefer the red bean butter toast, seseme & butter don't seems to blend well with the saltiness of the butter dominating the entire taste profile.
Bread doesn’t seem fresh early in the morning before 8 on weekend. Really can taste the difference unfortunate that they are come from bakery roots
The beef noodles is better than most. Kuay teow smooth，soup is robust enough and very drinkable but perhaps the beef slice overcooked a bit.
As for the dry version, sauce is rather flat but good that it's not too saltish. The mixed parts are well cooked and portion is generous.

Just like the rest, I gave up after the old man took over. Hardly any meat, soup has no taste. Hygiene failed badly.
But so glad and happy when I realised the young man who used to work for the previous stall is back! Exactly the same old taste like last time! Delicious soup and generous ingredients! Love it! Both soup and dry. 😋👍🏼

I visited Toast Box (JP) for dinner at about 745pm. We ordered curry chicken set and laksa. The food was promptly served with little waiting time. In terms of quality, it met our expectations.

Breakfast dated 20 March 2024. Ordered a dry signature bowl at $12 (had everything), but ommitted the bean sprouts. Quantity of noodles was sufficient. Gravy was consistent, thick till the last drop. It's probably early in the morning, haven't added water. Salted vegetable complemented the dish and it was crunchy. Small bowl of broth was very beefy in taste and slightly peppery. Personally will give 2 thumps up for beef tendon and beef balls. Maybe another fine day will try the soup version with keow teow, just tendon, beef meat, and beef balls.

The fish shop here is good. Highly recommend for those seeking for comfort food. I returned to this coffee shop multiple times for this fish soup after I chanced into it one time when i came here intended for the zhi char.
