Saifu Angto

Folks often confuse this Merlion Sculpture with the one in the Marina Bay spouting water. This one sit atop Mt Faber and has a commanding view on the surrounding area and the southward sea view. A nice stop when walking on the trails toward Harbourfront or Henderson bridge. The surrounding landscaping is a nice contrast to the white Merlion.

This is a large station with access to many shops and restaurants inside the station and nearby shopping malls. It's typically quite busy with local trains as well as Shinkansen connection to Tokyo and nearby large cities.

The station feels modern and airy and it's 1 stop away from Canal City mall where the Nakasu area is close by and a couple more stops to Tenjin area for Daimaru shops.

It's a bit sad that this shopping complex is now very quiet - especially upstairs. Lots of shops closed. Ground floor stores are still mostly open with a few tailors and salons. The new store Miss Saigon is upstairs with great Vietnamese food.

Reasonable price nasi lemak and good portion. The nasi lemak set include a fried chicken wing and comes with very tasty chilly sauce. Also sells a variety of other dishes with rice. Friendly stall owner.

A small mall next door to the much bigger Suntec City. It's across the street from Suntec City or if one is coming from the Promenade MRT simply take an alternate exit from the one to Suntec.

It seems to be dominated by dining and cafe options including lots of Japanese foods and grocery. There is a Tesla show room on the first floor, and a gym on the second floor as well as Harvey Norman furniture store.
