Definitiv das Highlight von Turin. Hier gibt es so viele wunderschöne und prunkvolle Räume zu entdecken und man kann locker mehrere Stunden verbringen. Von Rüstungen über ein riesiges königliches Esszimmer kann man hier so viel sehen. Fand es gut, dass man überall Fotos machen durfte. Es gibt auch einen recht großen Garten indem man super eine Pause einlegen kann.

A treasure trove of Italian art and decorative art, from medieval times to late baroque. The building itself is a wonderful baroque palace (currently parts of it are being renovated) with an imposing staircase. The 360° view over the city and the Alps from the viewing platform on top of the building is great as well.

I was attracted initially by the medieval architecture of the sides of this building, not the ornate front facade (which is currently undergoing renovation). Learning that the medieval structure incorporated an ancient Roman monumental gate intrigued me even more. The fact it houses galleries on art and archaeology from various eras of Torino’s history was also an attractive selling point. However, what ensured Palazzo Madama was on the top of the list of museums/sites to visit in Torino is the fact that the old moat is now a medieval botanic garden! Ornamental plants, edible plants for the table, medicinal herbs, trees, vines, pergolas, a small but very charming falconry(!), AND places to sit and contemplate all this beauty (just as the medieval princes used to do)!! I would come to this garden regularly for a therapeutic session of relaxation if the entry price wasn’t so high (and I didn’t live on the other side of the planet). Loved it 😊

Top Tip: There is an observation tower at the top floor offering 365 degrees view of the city. It is not as tall, but is less busy and do not need to book in advance.

The museum itself contains an impressive number of art collections. The contemporary paintings on the groundfloor were also very interesting.

Entrance fee for the museum is €10 per person.

Amazing. The sunset made it magical. Would've been nice with some restaurants at the place, didn't see any. But not far from there you have several cosy restaurants. Just to hang here made you feel the historic spirits.

5 sterne für die Anlage, wenn man weiss, wie 😅 Das Personal scheint mir uninformiert, ich wurde auf der suche nach dem antiken areal im kreis rundherumgeschikt. Gleich beim eingang Geradeaus durch die Glastür: toller glasboden mit Blick auf Ruinen. Die Aussicht auf dem Turm übertrifft aber alles, also alleine deshalb den Eintritt Wert. Tolle Räume, viel schönes zu sehen

Well laid out museum that is challenging to describe. The top floor (the "attic") has sweeping 360 degree views of the whole city. I would visit just for the view alone.

The rest of the museum is split between civic and cultural objects from the local region.

Das Museum ist ok, die Organisation am Eingang war chaotisch, obwohl wir die Torino Karte hatten und zwei Reservierungen ausgedruckt, musste n wir zweimal in der Schlange anstehen am Eingang und beim Ticket Office. Zuwenig Personal, dabei war kaum was los am Montag morgen, wie wird das erst im Sommer?

Palazzo Madama befindet sich direkt an der Piazza Castello. Die Besichtigung des Palastes beginnt erst im Untergeschoss, wo mittelalterliche Skulpturen ausgestellt sind. Danach besichtigt man das Erdgeschoss, das erste Geschoss und das zweite Geschoss. Im Erdgeschoss findet man Kunstwerke aus der Zeit der Gotik und der Renaissance. Das erste Geschoss ist die ehemaligen Wohnräume der Savoyen. Im ersten Geschoss findet man Gemälde und faszinierende Möbelstücke aus der Barockzeit. Der Innenraum im ersten Geschoss ist echt voll schön. Ich habe jede Minuten sehr wohl in diesem Stock genossen. Das ist das schönste Teil des Gebäudes. Die Besichtigung endet im zweiten Stock, wo Glasarbeiten und Keramikwerke dargestellt sind
Palazzo Madama ist eine Top-Sehenswürdigkeit in Turin. Die Besichtigung lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Ich kann mit Bildern bestätigen, dass das erste Geschoss des Palastes völlig schön ist!

Natürlich ein Must-See in Turin: vom Gebäude und von der Dauerausstellung her. Im Mai 2023 aber sowohl das Treppenhaus w/ Renovierungsarbeiten an der Fassade großteils als auch der große Saal in der Mitte w/ einer Ausstellung zu Byzanz quasi gesperrt. (U.E. ist diese Ausstellung w/ weniger … zugegeben aber exzellenter … Ausstellungsstücke, trotz großem Werbeaufwand in Turin das relativ hohe Eintrittsgeld nur bedingt wert). Ein Hinweis an der Kasse auf diese Einschränkungen sind uns bei unverändertem Eintrittsgeld nicht aufgefallen. Das haben wir in guten Museen schon anders erlebt.

Turin! Mi amore!! Ich bin da sehr wahrscheinlich nicht ganz objektiv! Diese Stadt ist so wundervoll und der Palazzo Madama immer wieder ein Ziel. Unbedingt auch einen köstlichen Kaffee und ein Panini essen.
