The main gallery is very impressive. Cannot say the same for the garden, and the rooms but the main gallery leaves such an impression that it’s totally worth it. The top of the garden provides an overlook of the city which is nice
Touring this gorgeous private palace in the middle of Rome was a refreshing change from our museum experiences. You feel transported to a completely unique location.
The art, rooms, furnishings, and gardens were all stunningly lovely and interesting. A refreshing change of pace.
Make sure it fits within your schedule!
It was one of the best experiences. An incredible collection is well presented. I would go again without hesitation.
In addition all the staff was very professional and helpful and helped me with the well chair.
Probably and arguably the best attraction in Pisa. Very very good walk at a reasonable price. There is lift access but the path can be rough for wheel chairs. The sights and sounds of the wall are marvellous and not to be missed.
Amazing palazzo and the museum is very well done. The history and interactive portions are great for learning about the Medici family and their influence in Florence. A must see for sure
I visited only this gallery in Rome and it was so great, the details are so beautiful and so unique 🥰 As it was my first time going to places like these I found it so new and beautiful, it was a little bit crowded but I reserved my ticket in advance, worh going there and I recommend going to the apartment. The garden was so beautiful and had seats so you can take a rest, they also have free water 💞
We only managed to visit the first courtyard as you can enter this area free of charge.

To visit the Palace you have to purchase tickets in advance and we tried to book 3 days prior to our visit, but were unsuccessful.

The courtyard itself is magnificent and the decoration on the ceiling is exquisite.

Make sure you buy those tickets in advance and don't miss out like we did. I am sure the inside of the Palace is incredible.
The Cathedral of San Rufino in Assisi is an important religious landmark. Dedicated to Saint Rufinus of Assisi, it was constructed in the Romanesque style in the 12th century, although it underwent several renovations and additions over the centuries. It holds significance as the place where Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Clare of Assisi were baptized. The cathedral features notable artworks and architectural elements, including frescoes by the Renaissance painter Giotto. Recommended even if you are not a catholic !!
This is as if outdoor premier museum for everyone, as well as social place for any visitors. Just stunning referring to its history and people gathered here.
Glad to have been able to visit on a late Saturday morning. It was pretty crowded, but still beautiful, especially the main gallery.

Watch out for the canon ball lodged in the steps.

Dante (Italian poet/writer/philosopher who lived from 1265 to 1321) used to stay here when he was in Rome.

Gallery seen in Roman Holiday (1953 film starring Audrey Hepburn & Gregory Peck).

Princess Isabelle apartments require separate ticket.
That's definitevely a must see in Florence. A Civic Building ( Municipality Seats here ), it's a marvelous synthesis of what Florence represents, from an artistical and architectural perspective. It's worth a visit ( It takes around a couple of hours in Total ).
During weekend, better to book in advance.
It was a truly medieval experience and you could enjoy all of Pisa from above. I reccomend though using a lot of SPF and a hat, especially in hot sunny weather.
Gute Schuhe tragen! Rollstuhlfahrer und Kinderwagen haben es sehr schwierig.
The Galleria Colonna, or Palazzo Colonna, is amazing! The architecture, artworks, and atmosphere are stunning. The garden is very pleasant and offers a charming view. In the lower garden, there's a café with chairs to enjoy. I highly recommend visiting. Pay attention to the days and hours; it's only open on Fridays and Saturdays, until 1 p.m. I purchased my ticket in advance to ensure entry.
APRILE 2024

Parcheggio facile.
Absolutelly must see. Great way to see the old and new Pisa. The walls are quite high so you can see far on both sides. I recommend it in the late afternoon or evening. 5 EUR for 3km beautiful walk are one of the best spent money in Pisa. Both directions have it's own advantages.

Rather large indoor palace, huge central room, giant towering ceiling, decorated with massive paintings depicting all sorts of misbehavior. Many, many rooms with dull washed out (old) paintings, authentic for sure.

DO get tix online, just show them at the door, done. No lines, no wait. 13E pp for palace only (no tower) is a big HIGH for the 1-2hrs you'll spend in there. Expensive, like everything in this town. Barely worth it. You won't regret the visit, but will wonder about the cost/value. Unless you're an expert on 15th century history, this is just ANOTHER grand palace in a long queue of grand palaces (Pitti etc). IF it were 25E pp would you go? When does it stop?

Services are very good. Security folks are everywhere, polite, efficient, not lazy (no selfie-sticks!). WCs downstairs work well, clean, bright. Lockers for large bags work well. Even a "rest area" with large seats. Fantastic, well done. Signage, english/italien, is spot-on, not too much, not too little, not boring. Most have memorable little stories (queen, to avoid wedding, knitting a sweater, secretly pulling seams out every night).
Weiter Platz, schöne Kirche. Eintritt kostenfrei, aber gesteuert.
5 star for the antiques & the lady in the workshop, 1 star for the arrogant guy checking the ticket, so Imma give a fair 3
The walkway is 3 km long and has 4 entrances, 2 are ticket offices. As the walls are 11 meters high you get a different perspective of the city from that level and a good opportunity to get those photos from a different angle. To walk the whole wall will take about an hour as it's a peaceful stroll away from the crowds. If you want to go back to Campo dei Miracoli, you can save some time by returning through the town rather than going back along the wall.
Buy your ticket on the day, think it's 5 euros, because it will cost you more online as they charge a booking fee.
Wow this Piazza is peak Italy. In every direction it is filled with sights to behold and master works. The copy of the Statue of David and the Fountain of Neptune are a must see, but every statue in the square is wonderful.
We climbed near the piazza del duomo. Not many people take this route, but it is great to see the sights from above. 5 euros is a goos price.
OMG! What an amazing place to visit while in Florence. My advice is to get the firenze card and visit as many places as you can. We didn't have to wait to get the tickets. The palace is amazing, it is spectacular, impossible to describe. Visit the tower as well, the view from the top is incredible!
This was the most pleasant surprise of our visit. It was a late addition to the itinerary but thank goodness we did. The Colonna family has been intricately woven into the history of Rome. I have been to palaces and castles across Europe. This ranks in the top 2 or 3 of the dozens I’ve visited. The collection is more than impressive as are the stately and intricately adorned rooms. Do yourself a favor and take a tour. Sandrinne our guide wove the family’s flawlessly into her descriptions of the collection. We were received by Don Prospero the managing family member. He was so pleasant. Make your reservation now.
Touring this beautiful private palace in the heart of Rome was delightfully different from our museum experiences. You feel transported to a totally unique place.
Our small tour group was led by a charming and knowledgeable young woman. We felt so welcome and unhurried.
The art, rooms, furnishings, and gardens were uniformly beautiful and interesting. A refreshing change of pace.
Open to the public only on Friday and Saturday mornings. Make sure to fit it into your schedule.
This place has lots to see and do in and around the area, it’s a very extraordinary place and I really enjoyed my time here. I would definitely recommend checking it out, the Palazzo is very nice and so are the museums here. Theres lots of lovely artwork, sculptures, statues, tapestries and other fine works to see. It’s definitely worth the visit.
The city walls are a great attraction. A perfect opportunity to look at the city from above. The walls are 3 km long, there are no crowds of tourists, so you can feel the atmosphere. Make sure to take water with you, because obviously you can't buy it at the top. The ticket is only 5 euros.
I have visited many, many of the National museums of Italy and have always been impressed, until this one. A bit of a mish-mash, very little archeology, mostly religious and Byzantine. Not bad, but not up to par with the others. If you are interested in archeology, better to visit the very excellent museum in nearby Classe which is near the basilica and easily accessible by public transportation.

Surprised by how much is here! Roman ruins, a book collection, paintings! And the place where St Francis prayed. And the chocolate for sale in the bookstore is my favorite so far!
We went here for my birthday to get a view of the city from above. It's quite a unique thing to do, there are benches every now and then where you can sit and have a break - we did the full 3kms but you can also exit at four different points. There is a member of staff at those exits who can answer questions. 5 Euros is a bit much to just take a walk but we really enjoyed it.
Zeit sollte man jedenfalls mitbringen!

Weiteres Plus - deutlich weniger Leute.
