I recently visited Khyber Karahi at Boat Basin and my experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, the cleanliness was severely lacking; the hand washing area was filthy and full of dirt. The ambience was also unsatisfiable with the air conditioner not working properly and being switched off midway through our meal. To add to the disappointment, the food was overpriced for the quality offered. Overall, it was not the experience I was hoping for, and I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

We ordered peshawari karahi it was really good, sitting arrangement needs a lot of maintaining.Staff behaviour was good service is quick but sitting is area is not clean it gives local dhabba vibe.

This review is for a weekend without family so don't judge please.

We were 12 🙋 of our project team and ordered,

3. Lamb charsi karhai 🐑 8/10
4. Charsi tikka 🍢 8/10
5. Malai boti 🍡 7/10
6. Garlic naan 🫓 9/10
7. Regular naan 8/10

Although the food tastes good, it is a bit away from the hype. Lamb Charsi Karhai should have won the game. Usually it happens with every other restaurant due to large crowds. Which means that it must be tried again on a weekday. The restaurant is over crowded as compared to others nearby.

I will give it a try with family and update again.

I was invited by a friend that always seeks high standard flavorful lamb meat, so naturally the expectations were high.
Keeping in mind that we are on the boating basin Clifton, the ambiance was ok, we sat on a shared seating arrangement (a takhat).
Staff immediately rushed towards us to help and start catering our needs.
My friend decided to have a fresh cut meat of his choice and rite in front of us there was a small kaios where there were few freshly slaughtered goats and lambs were chilling out !
After selecting and got it cut accordingly for the Karahi we waited around 1:45 hours for the serving, while we were waiting we ordered a garlic Nan with raita and salad 🥗, because of the hunger, the garlic Nan was tasteing out of the world (but actually it was not, because many other restaurants make it very good just around the corner).
Then finally five minutes before they brought the Karahi, we were served with their dish of famous Lamb Charsi Tikka with bar b que tail fat, Aaahh it was the pleasure, heaven in mouth and so on......
After that Charsi Tikka with tail fat bar b que, main dish of Karahi lost it's worth for two reasons, first we satisfied our hunger with the bar b que and second the time they took to make the Karahi was way too much nearly two hours in the making.
Karahi was very tasty but as I explained it lost its worth. I have attached the menu card with the current price and our bill too to give you an idea of the current prices.

Ordered Chicken Cheese, Qeema, and Simple Chicken parathas, but the quality was not so good! The tea was also just average, not willing to go again.
