We visited this day on our trip to the center, It was an amazing museum and beautiful. The overall architecture and all of the paintings was something that I really enjoyed, it was a big change from museums in the US, all of the paintings and artwork were beautiful displayed to where you can definitely see them up close and personal. Being able to notice all the actual details that are within these paintings that are generally missed due to distance.

Also that there is a designated path within the museum to follow, which in my opinion, allows you to very enjoy every aspect that is offered instead of missing sections, being able to intake even the pieces you weren't expecting.

I would definitely visit again, there was also a concert the day I visited but I wasn't aware of. But the line was very long at 20 people, before it even started and it was the middle of the day.

Go visit. It's a beautiful place, if you are into art and architecture in general this building is to not be missed.
Worth a visit. Must speak Spanish. Lots of class offerings, for adults only.
Beautiful building with some really spectacular pieces worth seeing. Building is clean with professional & helpful staff however, it is in need of some basic upkeep/repair - especially the second floor. Definitely worth the visit!

The collection of European and Mexican art spanning centuries is impressive, showcasing masterpieces that are both awe-inspiring and culturally significant. The museum itself is beautifully curated, with each exhibit thoughtfully arranged to provide insight into the evolution of art styles and techniques. It contains works by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Parmigianino, Frans Hals, Anthony van Dyck, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Auguste Rodin and other well-known European painters and sculptors.
Gratis (puedes ofrecer donativos). Muy recomendable! --A unas pocas cuadras del Centro Comercial Oasis---.
AaF.--- Feb 2024.
A wonderful collection of Mexican masterpieces with some famous artist like Orozco, Rivera and Velasco Gómez. The building itself is absolutely stunning and worth the visit just to see it. Museum entry is free on Sundays, and in order to take pictures you need to buy an additional photo pass.
I don't know which is more attractive, the building or the art collection. The building used to be a public works office and part of the municipal government designed as an Italian/French palace. It really shows as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The art is on two floors and worth a visit of a few hours at least. Entrance is free on Sundays so go then!
Incredible museum. Unfortunately only had an hour and a half to spend here but could have easily visited for the whole day and still not had enough time to see and read everything. A remarkable collection and great that it is open and free to the public. Rivals many of the collections I’ve seen in parts of Europe. Highly recommend and would return.
Excelente museo.

Little old fashioned and not so flashy- but had really interesting content for the exhibitions. Free entry at least on Sunday when I visited there.
we arrived half an hour before closing and paid full whack for our tickets (cash only!?). There are enough security guards and attendants in this small gallery to staff an international airport. They loitered and hovered around us the entire time we were there. I really hope my wife and I do not look like the kind of people who would want to vandalise an inflatable desert island
