Quiet little restaurant (went on a Monday) that gets Cretan food right. Delicious. Thank you, Chef!
My wife and I were there together with our children in May.
We stumbled upon this place by chance, we wanted to sit a little secluded and cozy and this looked nice.
Noticed pretty quickly that no prices were listed but thought nothing more of it.
We were presented with the menu, which was quite worn and looked a bit shabby.
I ordered Kleftiko and my wife chicken souvlaki and the children a french fries and a children's pizza + three soft drinks and two beers.
It took about 20 min until we got the food, standard portions, but the children's fries didn't seem quite ready. My wife thought the chicken was a bit dry had a taste of fish, suspected they were fried on the same fryer.
The food was perfectly ok, nothing outstanding, but like a street kitchen or a roadside restaurant.
When we got the bill I thought it was relatively high for what we got but paid without objection, came to almost €90 for two adults, two children.
Reacted to the fact that there was no name on the restaurant or the menus.
Also overheard that they didn't take cards, only cash.
The toilets were ok.
Have seen other reviews afterwards but we got good service and ok food, but overpriced.

I had the lamb kebab with fries and a regular coca cola. It was served quickly and with great service. A delicious meal and great dining experience at a great price.
Όμορφο παραδοσιακό καφενείο! Ωραίες γεύσεις άριστη εξυπηρέτηση και γρήγοροι. Φαίνεται ότι χρησιμοποιούν πρώτες ύλες για το κάθε πιάτο. Σας το προτείνω να το επισκεφτείτε με την παρέα σας!!
What sleeper! Not well known, the third age resides here, but this tavern is great far all. Very good food, fast service and many nights has live music. There is no more you will need, highly recommended!
Very greedy owner who is asking customers if we will add tips on credit card charges. This is my third time to visit this restaurant, but this time I feel that this restaurant has become a tourist trap. Very expensive wine, 6 euros per glass, and the service has become slow and unfriendly. Never again!
Although this review has been overdue for a year, I still remember the wonderful experience we had in Bariello! Absolutely loved everything about this place- the food (delicious cheesecake appetizer), the warm welcome, and obviously the best sunset view. Highly recommended!
I was looking forward to having a traditional moussaka and unfortunately was very disappointed with their offering. It arrived on a small side plate, which was no way to present a main dish. Totally unappetising. It was over cooked with hardly any sliced potatoes or aubergine. It might even have been microwaved to heat it up as it was hard at the base. Normally I would have sent it back but I was dining alone on holiday so didn't feel it was appropriate. I ate it as I was hungry but didn't enjoy it. The position of the restaurant and its Jewish history made up for the awful dish.
What is this place lol. We ran away after having a salad (13EUR for a few pieces of vegetables, cooked potatoes and old bread) and some terrible house wine. 2 stars because I liked the vibe and we didn’t spend a fortune there.
Location of the restaurant was great as it was near the old town and the port. The Greek salad was amazing with the mizithra cheese. The lamb chops were a bit burnt underneath and served with fries. I would recommend the tender goat fillet. Out of the 4 dishes we have tried, that dish stood out the most. The Octopus served with wine was okay. They gave us each a baklava for dessert at the end of our meal.

Plat assez basique pour un prix très élevé, mention spéciale pour les cocktails à 18€. Le dessert était très bon.

NAMMOS kann ich wirklich niemand empfehlen:
-Essen viel zu teuer
-Vorspeise und Hauptgang wird vertauscht oder kommt gar nicht und es wird verrechnet
- Portion = 3 kleine Teigtaschen zum Hauptgang
- über das Service möchte nicht anfangen, so ein schlechter Service habe ich noch nie in meinem Leben gesehen.
-Service möchte immer wieder etwas andrehen wie z.B. Wein, Vodka, Gin-Flaschen
- Wenn man keine Flasche bestellen möchte, wird gefragt „warum bestellt man keine Flasche da wir so viele Leute sind“
- man hat einen Slot von 2h zum essen und dann muss man umgehend weg
-Tisch werden abgeräumt auch wenn man noch am essen ist
- Gerichte werden in Rechnung gestellt die nie zum Tisch kamen
- Wasserflaschen werden in Rechnung gestellt obwohl keine bestellt wurden
- Man will mit dem Manager sprechen und dann kommt der nächste arroganter Kellner und gibt sich als Manager aus. Reklamationen wurden nicht wahrgenommen und man geht in die Ecke und lacht mit den anderen Kellnern
- Zur (in Anführungszeichen) „günstigen“ Wahl auf der Karte. - heisst es gibt es nicht mehr und man muss mindestens 300g Fleisch bestellen
-Reklamationen wird von Manager nicht angehört

Der Beachclub ist ein Scherz, die Liegen sind quasi auf einander gestapelt und die erste Reihe so voll gestellt, dass man kaum zum Wasser kommt. Auf einen reservierten Tisch im Restaurant wartet man gerne 2 Stunden. Essen schmeckt und Service dort gibt sich größte Mühe.
Service ist gut aber sobald man seine Liege zum Essen verlassen möchte wird selbstverständlich bezahlt aber es wäre keine Garantie das man die Liegen zurück bekommt obwohl man für den ganzen Tag bezahlt hat. Einfach nur abzocke und die Musik ist tagsüber auch gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Délicieux déjeuner dans le restaurant de ce très bel hôtel 4*. Cadre magnifique face à la mer, et que dire de la nourriture à part que c’était succulent. Très fin dans les assaisonnements, les cuissons et les présentations. Nous avons pris le tartare de thon ainsi que le poulet en plat. En dessert une sorte de riz au lait dans un feuilleté avec une glace vanille, une belle découverte. Amateurs et amatrices de très bonne gastronomie foncez y!
We were lucky. The restaurant appears to try and hide its name (name is not written on the menue) in order to avoid people reading the reviews when they go into the trap. We managed to find out by the time 27€ worth of very large drinks were on the table. To avoid further disappointment we paid as fast as they let us and off we were to a decent other restaurant.

The salat however was nothing special and the dessert of the day did not meet the expectations.
Thats why 4*, because when you pay 80€+ per person, you expect everything to be perfect.
Overall fine dining experience and will definitely visit again!!

Heel mooie ligging en ontzettend lekker eten! De porties van de hoofdgerechten zijn alleen heel klein (moussaka en pasta). We hadden allebei nog honger erna, ondanks het voorgerecht.
Wir sind bei einem Spaziergang vorbeigekommen und suchten ein Lokal zum Essen uns hatt es gefallen von der Lage haben ein Platz Draußen genommen war mit durchsichtigen Plexiglas abgetrennt so das es der Wind nicht durchlief . Wir haben uns Ouzo und Rezina zum trinken bestellt. Dann Essen (Fleisch)von der Karte mit ein paar Salate ,es wurde schnell serviert und es war sehr lecker als wir zahlen wollten kamm vorher noch ein Nachtisch vom Lokal mit Halva. Bedingungen waren sehr freundlich und es war auch preislich auch günstig. Ich kann das Lokal wirklich empfehlen .
Sehr sehr gutes und leckeres Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen um mit der Familie einen schönen Abend zu verbringen.
So schlecht habe ich/wir noch nie in Griechenland gegessen !!! Die Hackfleischbällchen waren "naja", der Oktopussalat war viel zu sauer und nicht frisch. Das war Oktopussalat aus dem Supermarkt. Der Reis mit Meeresfrüchten war total geschmacklos und ebenfalls nicht frisch sondern Tiefkühlware. Aber jede Reispfanne mit Meeresfrüchten von Lidl, Netto oder Bofrost schmeckt tausendmal besser. Das Essen dort kann man wirklich nicht empfehlen.
Dazu kommt noch, dass man beim Essen permanent von drogensüchtigen Bettlern belästigt wird oder einem Handtaschen oder Rubbellose angedreht werden wollen.
Niemals wieder dort hingehen !

Sehr lecker Essen in guter Qualität zu supergünstigem Preis, reichliche Portionen und freundliche Bedienung, die Englisch spricht! Das Ambiente ist ganz nett.
