Kanaka Creek Regional Park
2024 Jun 28
A well-maintained Park for adventure. I was interested in the Bell Irving Hatchery. Glad to see hundreds of thousand salmon fry have been reared here. Learning more from the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Center. Great work! I’ll be back again.

On the way of Traboulay PoCo Trail, there is a beautiful park with an amazing river view, named Peace Park. It’s not large but well designed and maintained. An impressive wooden park shelter with a green rooftop faces Pitt River. Sitting on a bench or lying on the ground, you may enjoy the entire nice day. Picnic tables and parking lot are available.

A small park, but big fun. The highlight of Lions Park is the adventure playground for kids. Numerous facilities meet different needs, including slides, swings, monkey bars, seesaws, and water spray ground etc. Along Coquitlam river, the popular Traboulay PoCo Trail goes through Lions Park. A series of artworks are found here also, telling interesting stories. Parking lot and picnic tables are available.
Buntzen Lake Suspension Bridge
2023 May 12
Buntzen Lake Suspension Bridge is located on North Beach. The new bridge that opened on April 28, 2023 looks safer and stronger. You can go there by boat or hike. Both of them take time, but the view is pretty awesome.

-The awesome Poco Trail is along the Coquitlam River which runs through the park with plenty of water.
