Binya Coffee

Coffee is burned. They cook it like cowboy coffee, in a pot, which I'm not against. But even when having cafe au lait, with a lot of milk, it tastes overly burnt.
Overpriced, mediocre food as well. Had the sandwich which was just ok, but at 1400 JPY it didn't seem like much, considering there are many other places you can have a full, high quality set meal for that price at lunch time.
Ambiance is like a typical old Japanese coffee shop. You can pick your own coffee cup if you're sitting at the bar, which is nice. But there are places with much more beautiful coffee sets, if that's your thing.

National Museum of Ethiopia

Underwhelming.
It had some interesting exhibits, but it's VERY small. If you're a fast reader, you can get through the museum in an hour, literally reading everything. If something stands out or you have a tour guide to go over some nuance, maybe you can spend a bit more time. But it's VERY small.
The unfortunate reality is that, like many museums in developing nations, they don't hold or display many of the quality pieces from their culture. Instead those important pieces tend to be scattered across museums in western countries.
The museum itself is very rundown. Architecture and interior is not kept up. Maybe they don't have funding, but I think it's a shame to not invest in making something like this more beautiful. A national museum should sparkle, but instead things are covered in dust and grime and unfinished or shoddy construction.
The pieces inside are also not particularly impressive and the exhibits are not well curated. They could do so much more with the space but fail to. The temporary exhibition building was in ruins.
Most of the aesthetic problems in the main building could be solved by having local artisans fix up the space in exchange for allowing and promoting temporary exhibits of their work. Eg worn down rugs and unpainted areas...certainly there are locals who could help solve this problem.

Toyota Automobile Museum

Good way to kill time if you happen to be in Nagoya area for some reason. Honestly there doesn't seem to be much else to do in the area, touristically.
I was a bit pleasantly surprised that it's not so much a museum of Toyota but includes many other influential auto manufacturers, Japanese, American, and European. There were surprisingly few Toyota cars actually.
The cafe restaurant has absolutely the worst food I've had in Japan and I think they should be ashamed of themselves.
