This is a quick and interesting stop. I think it’s more interesting if you’ve been to the museum first and learned some more of the history. The views from the cliffs are nice. There are a couple of educational signs to read, but then you’re done. We wandered over to check out the abandoned military base (naval, I think they said) and were delighted to have two dog friends come with us. There were also friendly donkeys in the parking lot.
There really isn’t much to see, and you can’t access the beach at all. But if you like to look at the outside of a lighthouse then you’ll enjoy it.
We really enjoyed our visit. It’s a neat little park, although not very well maintained. There are some informative signs about the environment (learn about mangroves!). There’s a walkway out over the estuary, and a walking path out to the edge of the point, with an interesting shipwreck.

Google maps doesn’t know how to get here! If you use satellite view you can see the road, but it’s otherwise unmarked. Keep driving until you can see north creek. Then continue to follow the road around to the right. Keep going until you get to a white and blue brick shelter - you’ve arrived!

You can also turn to the left instead of the right to go to a sheltered coastal area, where we came across a flock of flamingos! (It’s possibly better to walk, the road out to the beach is pretty rough. And it’s quite short!)
