nice new terminal building for both international and domestic, but most traveller services to be developed. air conditioning is VERY COOL; bring a scarf / a thin jacket in your bag. at arrival, most transportation offerings are based on SHARED vehicles with many stops. at departure, we arrived 3 hours before the flight; only a few seating areas and not many eateries, byo food if needed. the air-side is literally nothing, and it is even COOLER !

a modern-day Muslim architecture that is significant in the Egyptian history; it is grand, is sophisticated and is complete. it saturated at the top of the hill and overlooks western part of Cairo; the sunset is beautiful too. we visited on a festival day that filled with local tourists. the interior is stunning, in all directions in all details, especially the ceiling and the rings of light that right above us. will be great if we had i) someone explains the details of the Muslim architecture, and ii) another 3 to 4 hours in the Mosque.

a week after the re-opening, the Helix is getting ready for it, with its clean interior and the well-maintained greenery. Thursday afternoon, only very few restaurants are back to the service, and very few customers too. never see this quietness, it is a bit worrying.

I love checking out museums, yet this is my introduction to Chinese arts and crafts. the exhibits and collections are exclusive, and the overall curation, storytelling, and display are better than the world-class. the architecture is beautiful, taking good photos at any angle. the vibe is casual and visitors are lively and engaged. may take time for many exhibits; I suggest filling the stomach before spending hours in the museums. the restaurant inside is quite expensive, and the museum ticket is one-entry; I came two half days (with 2 tickets) and checked all the details.
