Pav Bhaji - The buns were fluffy but a little dry, white bread meant it had a slight sweetness that goes well together with the savory veggie gravy, that was well spiced with Indian masala and based on potatoes. Served with raw onions and carrots.

Boy, have I been taught a lesson in judging a book by its cover. The exterior is certainly easy to miss, but you don't want to be missing out on the tikka chicken, nor their naan which is some of the best I've had ever. The chicken is bursting with juices and flavour, marinated with a complex mix of spices and a slight creamy tanginess from the yogurt, finished off with a squeeze of lemon for a perfect balance of flavours inside your mouth. Completing this iconic duo is an unbelievably soft and fluffy naan that is evidently freshly baked to order, brushed with a finishing of ghee for a subtle yet indulgent fragrance.

Sushi Bong Special - Ladies and gentlemen, I found the ultimate hole-in-the-wall sushi spot that you absolutely must visit right now. First of all, you get unbelievable value for your money for the portions alone, with a plethora of nigiri and maki rolls to entertain your mouth. The maki rolls are filled generously with a perfect layer of marinated sushi rice, like an upgraded California roll. Then, the quality of the ingredients are top notch, like it was caught and shipped the same day straight into my mouth. The salmon had a beautiful marbling that melts in your mouth and is the freshest piece of fish I've ever put in my mouth.

425 Prawn & Chicken Com Tam - Starting off with a plate of rice with a fragrant caramelized jumbo prawn, slightly sweet and packed with umami, along with a creamy sauce made with its head butter that's just heavenly with rice. The egg sausage and bbq chicken were also cooked nicely to develop a rich colour, which equals flavour.
317 Bun Thit Nuong - The vermicelli in the next bowl were thicker and more slippery than other places, with an addicting crisp from the spring rolls stuffed with taro and pork and the minced shrimp paste on sugar cane.
101 Pho Dac Biet - Portions are decent, but was quite bland.
