I was really hoping for some more information on how mushrooms grow or some scientific background. I think if you have kids, the natural history part of this exhibit would entertain them but if you don't have kids and are not super into mushrooms or stuffed animals already, I think you're better off taking the time to see another monastery. Nothing against the staff or anything, just not my cup of tea for 5 euros a person.

Beautiful rock formations and free of other visitors. You can see similar structures here as pasabagi. Lots of ways to get there but we went on the path closest to the road.
Good value if you're into glass art. It's really easy to get to via public transportation. Check before hand what exhibits they have. Right now they have an exhibit with more modern glass pieces.
It's a pricey but ultimately worth it museum if you like to learn the science behind glass as well as see some nice art installations. 50 rmb for general admission and 50 rmb for the special exhibit. We'll worth the money IMO.

The BRKN special exhibit is very well curated. Each installation has an accompanying song (accessed using a QR code). The general admission isn't too shabby either.

Take a cab from the subway stop. Walking would take way too long.
Its an interesting museum. It has life-size replicas of old Shanghai people, streets and shops. It's under the pearl building (the one with the purple spheres). Buy your tickets at the central area where they also sell tickets to all of the other attractions then bring it to the museum.
