A must see, authentic part of life in Deira. It is where many ships, old and new, can be found loading and unloading cargo. Hustle and bustle of sailors is something else to see.

Exceptional atmosphere, good food, alright prices. Compared to other hyped places, this one is a true gem! I loved everything I ate here and the fact that they sell qutab by piece already tells a lot about how they respect the choice of their patrons. Certainly recommended for local food, just know that it is a popular tourist spot and thus wi be pretty hectic.

Very kind staff, interesting exhibition, and beautiful carpets all on one place! Unless you are really into carpets, the small section in Heydar Aliyev Center may be enough for you, but if you want to find out more about this art form, you will want to explore this quaint museum with a great architecture.

It is a very detailed, well thought out, and properly carried out museum that deals with numerous Macedonian attempts at statehood. At times the use of wax figures seemed extravagant to me, and it was not always very clear if an exhibition was the original or a mock up. The ban on photography even with a simple phone is really not great in 2024, I am almost glad that most people did not seem to care for the ban unlike me… In any case, definitely visit it if you have the time.
