When everywhere else is packed and this place isn’t, there’s a reason. You don’t go to El Corral for great burgers, and this is supposed to be a level above their usual product. I recall eating here a while back and it was OK, but even being slow they couldn’t really get it together on service. The kicker was the disgusting fried chicken sandwich, which turned out to be chopped and formed chicken meat, not chicken breast, and it was skimpy, tough and stringy, and greasy. One bite and I said, “Oh hell no”, and told the server how disappointed I was. If they’d refrained from charging me, I would have kept it between us, but that was nasty.
