🟨 SingPost Centre is quite a large mall with many dining options ( cafes + mid-end eateries).

🟧 It is also within walking distance from Paya Lebar MRT station. It is good for shopping. ✅️ It has an NTUC supermarket and a Daiso, and a cineplex on the top floor.

✔️Here are some pics from Christmas time.

🟢 Clarke Quay Central is a mall that I used to go to at times because my former hairdresser had his salon on the 5th floor of the Soho Apartments.

🟪 That's why you see me able to take photos of the 5th floor mini-open-air landscaped garden.

🟨 The mall has a fair mix of tenants ranging from the Lumine Dept Store, clothing stores, cafes, eateries, cake shops, spectacle shop, jewellery stores, a huge Don Donki below at basement level and many other everyday stores.

⬛️ OUE Downtown Gallery is a complex of buildings, completed in 2017, and located in the heart of the Central Business District at Shentin Way area.

✳️ It has two office buildings,

● 37-Storey Downtown 2,

🟧 and is connected to a 6-storey retail mall. There are a good selection of cafes and eateries here.

■This is the "Clifford Pier" restaurant that operates an all-day dining service. ( 🥢 it is situated next to Fullerton Bay Hotel)

■ This refurbished swanky eatery replaces the now defunct "One-on-the-Bund".

❇️ The colonial architectural heritage is rightly conserved here.🟨 The refurbishment and restoration acknowledges our colonial heritage, and the result is a beautiful and timeless preservation of this once popular pier.

🟦 In the old days, Clifford Pier was known as "Ang teng beh tao". Before that in the 1920s to 1930s, it was actually called Johnson's Pier.

■ History notes: 🩶 According to my "500 postcards of Old Singapore" photo book, Johnson's Pier (a wooden pier) was demolished in around 1933 and Clifford Pier was built on its grounds.

■ The Fullerton Bay Hotel and Clifford Pier restaurant are all under the Sino Group (owned by the late Ng Teng Fong's family).

● The dimsum food was tasty, but marred by a particular wait staff's very curt and rude attitude.

🟡 The dining experience was wholly spoilt by curt, rude and surly wait staff. ▪︎ I felt they were not happy working there. ● No smiles, a nonchalant attitude and showing attitude to the customers. 🙄 I am there to eat, not to see your long faces + coarse attitude.

🟦 Only the Senior Male Manager, Mr Bong and his assistant ( white-shirt long sleeved guy) were nice and polite. ● My husband spoke to Mr Bong at length over the phone later, and he apologised for the shortcomings of the wait staff.

🟡 I know this is not Mr Bong's fault at all. However, the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was supposed to recce the place and recommend it to my friends. But now I can't. The service & hospitality here is sad.

🟢 If those particular female wait staff are not happy with their contract work or the work at Majestic Restaurant, they should leave, and shouldn't destroy or sully the esteemed Chef's brand and repute. 🟪 A restaurant's repute is at stake when you see wait staff not helping but sully the rest of the kitchen team's efforts.

● It is painful for me to see a great chef and the kitchen team's efforts destroyed by the front house team ( ie the wait team).🟨 I hope service is improved here. 😰 I can't recommend this eatery to any of my friends or relatives or colleagues at the moment.
