Bálint Tóth

A decent general purpose cultural and art museum that's good for a cca. 2-hour visit. The building is grandiose and the exhibitions are well spaced out, but the signage leaves a lot to be desired to anyone, whether they speak French or not. The curation is pretty random and without a clear direction. I liked the contemporary and folk art sections more than the history ones.

One of a kind, mesmerizing museum that's well worth the 45-60min trip from the center. The models have a true artistic quality to them, a must-visit to any fans of natural history or taxidermy. Some of the stillbirth embryos are outright disturbing, so probably not suitable for sensitive souls and small children. The €8 ticket includes the informative audio guide. They accept cards now.
