Msheireb Museums
We had a tour for this museums. There were 30 ladies in the group. We visited only two houses because of time constraint, but nevertheless it was very informative. There are 4 houses that was changed into museum. The company tells us the story of how qatar started oil exploration and the working condition for the staffs. This house is where the staffs come once a month to collect their pay and see their families. We also visited Radwani’s house which show how the houses changed from 1930s until now. Quite informative. Will definitely see the other museums on another day. The museum staffs were helpful and provide good insights during the tour.
Basil
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The staff were polite. The service was fast and the food were interesting. I ordered the egg benedict that came with burrata and avocado. My friend had the buttersquash salad. We always had breakfast at Flatwhite nearby and never notice this place. Will definitely visit it again. Interesting menu, and reasonable price.
Trampo Extreme
It’s a great park for all ages. My son loves the skytrail, it reminded him of Go Ape in London only difference is that it’s indoor. They have different packages for 1 hour. Either just climbing, or climb and trail. Or you can have all inclusive package as well to play at all the areas, soft play and jump included. There is McD nearby for snacks later. The registration was smooth. And the staffs were helpful.
DFC Parking
Free parking for everyone is a plus especially when you can spend hours in DFC. Shopping for groceries, meeting up friends for coffee or just doing your walk in the mall during hot summer months! Please dont start charging
North Green hill
Its the other side of Katara. I do sometimes walk here but the track is limited. If the weather is nice we usually walk katara south and cross over to this hills. The work that is on going at the new hotel makes it not that pleasant to walk this side of the hills. There are artificial water features which can be calming at times. Evening you will see many people congregating near it.
