The broth was exquisitely rich and creamy, blending the perfect amount of coconut milk with a harmonious mix of spices that delivered a delightful kick. The vegetables fritters we ordered on the side were perfectly crispy, soaking up the delicious flavours of the broth beautifully.

Every element of this curry laksa was spot on, creating a comforting and flavourful experience that left me thoroughly impressed!

However, the other dry noodles dishes were pale in comparison and not worth its price.

I recently tried the Mee Hoon Kueh Soup for breakfast at XY Cafe, and it was a delightful start to the day. The dish features thinly-made noodles with a satisfying chewy texture, perfectly cooked in a flavorful broth. The soup is topped with fresh ingredients such as vegetable, shredded lean pork meat, fishballs, fried shallots, adding depth and variety to each bite. The portion size was just right, leaving me feeling satisfied without being overly full. The warm, comforting flavors made this breakfast experience truly enjoyable.

I recently visited Shoon Huat to try their Bak Kut Teh, but I must admit I was left wondering what all the fuss is about. While the broth was well-seasoned with subtle herbal notes, it lacked the depth I expected, and the pork ribs weren't as tender as I had hoped. The accompanying sides, such as tofu puffs and vegetables, were decent but didn't elevate the dish significantly. The overall experience was pleasant enough, but the Bak Kut Teh didn't stand out as anything special compared to other places I've tried. While Shoon Huat has its charm, I may explore other options next time.
