Close to Lisbon city’s waterfront, we had lunch at Solar do Vez which had a lovely outdoors area and reasonably attentive members of staff. I ordered the grilled squid which while tasty, was inconsistent in terms of texture. Some of the squid were melt-in-your-mouth tender while other pieces of squid were extremely chewy. The tender pieces of squid that I did have were delightful to eat. Just an aside, the local birds may also try and steal your food. Overall, I had an OK experience in Solar do Vez but I would personally not be a repeat customer here next time we’re in Lisbon!

Rotana City is possibly one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Dublin. For lunch, we ordered arayes to start and makloba chicken with aubergines plus bamya (okra with lamb) for our mains through their partners at Deliveroo. All of the food was packaged well such that there was no spillage during the delivery process. Their arayes was vibrantly piquant and savoury and was a hit at home. Both the bamya lamb stew and the makloba chicken were a delight to eat. Every single dish from Rotana City was fresh and delicious and we’re definitely buying food from them again!

Delhi2Dublin in Dublin city’s Meeting House square has solidly cemented itself as one of my favourite food stalls in Temple Bar Food market. We got their samosas which were phenomenal at the time. With a crispy exterior and a wonderful, savoury, spicy filling, their samosa is possibly one of the best ones I’ve ever tried in Dublin, especially with the mint-based chutney we were given.

Contrary to what some of my fellow reviewers are saying, I personally thought that the prices charged by Delhi2Dublin are fair, considering the food stall is in touristy Temple Bar plus Ireland isn’t the cheapest country to begin with (especially in 2023!).

I strongly recommend Delhi2Dublin’s Indian street food stall!

During our 4th time visiting Amsterdam, we finally decided to try Dutch herring and chose Jonk Volendammer Haringhandel to try it for the first time. We seriously missed out! The herring we tried at this herring stall coupled with soft fluffy bread was a real delight to eat. The service was really quick too despite how popular this stall in Amsterdam is. Great value for money!

While in Rotterdam, I ordered the chicken shish meal deal with rice and coke zero via the Thuisbezorgd Android app (known as JustEat in some markets). Both the chicken and the rice were seasoned well and cooked to perfection, in my view. I liked the bread and the zesty salad that came with the meal deal. More importantly, the flavours and the quality of the food from Mezze in Rotterdam was very similar to how I remembered the food during previous stays in Turkey. I would definitely buy food from Mezze Rotterdam again.
