It's hard to believe you are in the city. A lovely park that has a dog area, and a ravine path. 🍁🍃🍂
Gallery Arcturus

I have passed by this art gallery so many times but never went in. Gallery Arcturus is a not-for-profit contemporary art exhibit and education centre located at Church and Gerrard. It is funded and operated by The Foundation for the Study of Objective Art, a private charity established to promote the study of art. It's not so small and mighty. I enjoyed the exhibits. Staff was super friendly. Oh, and it's FREE!

This large park has 2 parts - which is split in half by King Street. The north park has a kids playground, a concrete ping pong table, a basketball court and a public washroom. The south side has a baseball diamond and a dog park.

It's hard to believe you are still in Toronto when you visit this terrific park. It's a beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature and wildlife - especially during the fall. We even spotted a beaver on our walk today!
Take the trail to meet up with the Beltline, which then leads you to Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
You can literally walk for miles and miles in Toronto's interconnected ravine system.

Daniel Brooke Building

From the plaque - which is on the west side of the building: This building was first constructed in 1833 for owner Daniel Brooke, a prominent merchant in the Town of York. It was substantially rebuilt between 1848-1849 prior to the Great Fire of April 1849 which started in a nearby stable. While much of the business district was destroyed, this building escaped major damage. It housed a variety of commercial enterprises over the years, including the prosperous wholesale grocery business of James Austin and Patrick Foy in the 1840s. Austin went on to become a president of the Consumers' Gas Company and of the Dominion Bank. His home, Spadina, became a museum in 1984. During the mid-19th century, the Daniel Brooke building contained the offices of The Patriot, an influential conservative newspaper. The block is a rare example of Georgian architecture in Toronto.
