Beautiful mountain with a sacred history in both Kikuyu and Maasai folklore. Varied landscape (high jungle, grassland, rocky lunar) and wildlife. Ask where the elephants are on their circular migration around the base.

Bar Spritz
With a heaping amount of cicchetti on display to satiate a bustling midday crowd, step in for a light lunch or snack, and enjoy with an aperol spritz on one of many street side seats.
Largely land-based options include prosciutto and pumpkin, radicchio and gorgonzola, mushroom and roast pork, soft cheese and purple cabbage or a simple slice of cotechino sausage topped with pickled leaks. Seafood options include a very rich baccala mantecato (almost too thick) and canned tuna served with zucchini and the all-too ubiquitous pumpkin purée. An assortment of re-heated fried specialties and skewered meatballs.
Overall, solid. The best in town? No. But a good option when in the neighborhood.

A little known secret off the beaten path, a sacred space that changed from Byzantine Orthodox to Latin Roman church, eventually to a mosque. The footprint in the form of a Greek cross, the structure made of brick and Corinthian columns, Arabic calligraphy sits on a few points on the walls.
