Dosa Street
2024 Aug 02
During our recent visit to Dosa Street, we had a mixed experience. The ambiance was underwhelming, as the interior felt neglected and could use better maintenance, detracting from the overall dining experience. While the menu boasts a wide variety of dosas, promising a lot of options for dosa enthusiasts, we had a specific issue with our order. We ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa, anticipating the distinct flavor of podi masala that typically accompanies this dish. However, what we received was a regular Masala Dosa. Upon inquiring with the staff, we were told that their version of Mysore Masala Dosa does not include podi, which was surprising and contrary to our previous experiences at other establishments where podi masala is a staple in Mysore Masala Dosa. The dosa we received tasted like a standard Masala Dosa, lacking the unique flavors we expected. On a positive note, the pricing seemed reasonable, which is a plus considering the variety offered on the menu. In conclusion, while Dosa Street offers an extensive selection of dosas at a reasonable price, the ambiance needs improvement, and there was some confusion regarding the authenticity of their Mysore Masala Dosa. This inconsistency in the dish preparation was a notable disappointment.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic non-vegetarian restaurant within Lulu Centre at Al Barsha, and it was an exceptional experience. As a fan of authentic Kerala cuisine, this place truly delivered.

The menu is a treasure trove of Kerala-style dishes, offering an extensive variety that caters to every palate. From traditional Kerala meals to the famed Thalassery Biryani, every dish was crafted with precision, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me back to the heart of Kerala.

The Thalassery Biryani was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal – fragrant rice layered with perfectly cooked meat, rich spices, and the subtle aroma of fresh herbs. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left me craving more.

Moreover, the ambiance was cozy and inviting, complementing the dining experience perfectly. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that elevated my dining experience.

Overall, this restaurant is a gem for anyone seeking authentic Kerala non-vegetarian cuisine in Dubai. I highly recommend it to food enthusiasts looking to indulge in delicious, flavorful dishes that stay true to their roots.
