This was our first dinner on our Paris holiday, as we wanted some old school Parisian bistro fare to start trip off with a bang.
We were recommended to eat here at the end of our last trip in 2023. Unfortunately, during that visit we could not find the time to squeeze out a a meal here. So, we vowed to come here when we visited Paris again.
Unfortunately, we were not very impressed, and when we looked back at our Paris holiday meals as a whole, Benoit unfortunately ranks the lowest out of all our meals.
The service and atmosphere score full marks but the main event, the food, left a lot to be desired.
It’s not that it was prepared badly it was that it was very pedestrian/regular. The flavors and dishes fell short of our expectations and didn’t really surpass in any aspect at all.
This is especially so when one takes into account the amount one might spend and the quality of the food. There was definitely a mismatch in this regard.
We spent about €100/pax with no drinks.
Unfortunately, unless we hear from someone we trust that they improve the food significantly, we will not be back again.

Shake Shack Great World
Really good burgers to say the least. It will definitely hit the spot and fulfill your craving.
We usually get it for delivery/take out. But, dining in does make a difference.
I’d recommend it to anyone who needs to get their burger fix.

Le Clown Bar

We came here to dine on the last night of our Paris holiday. It came highly recommended, not only online, but from our friends/family who have had stellar meals here as well.
All in all we had a wonderful meal. We were told the head chef is Korean, and we could see the Asian influences in each dish.
With the above being said however, I don’t think we’d come back if we were to vacation in Paris again.
This is because we had better meals at the same or more competitively priced. Plus, there are just so many other restaurants we would like to try or revisit.
Ultimately, we’d recommend for anyone to try Le Clown bar. Objectively, it is a well put together menu and the flavors were novel and exciting!

Came because of the reviews online (both google and insta etc.) for their pastries, especially their croissants.
If you’re Asian and coming from let’s Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, or anywhere that has good pastries. Do not come here. Trust us. It was a waste of a meal and not worth the time to queue.
We had a croissant, chocolate pistachio escargot, and bacon and cheese roll.
This was probably the worst croissant we had during our visit. It was cold, which is fine, but we couldn’t even taste the butter. It was as if they used frozen puff pastry to make it. Not what one would expect of a croissant in Paris!
Chocolate pistachio escargot overrated not very tasty at all.
Bacon and cheese roll while warm was a bit too salty. Comparing the three pastries we ordered this was good. But, when compared to other pastries elsewhere, say even compared to a Pret pastry was completely underwhelming.
You would do better off going to other pastry shops.
