Don Lucas Cigars
Interesting Factory Stores Outlet
My wife and I were taken to Don Lucas by our Coming2 tour as part of our Punta Cana vacations back in Jan 2023. We managed to step into all of these 5 shops (Azul del Mar, the cigar live factory, Kokoa, Oliver Ron, and the coffee shop), and especially the main souvenir shop. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. My wife was intrigued by the precious stones so much so that she bought a bunch of earrings. First time (in my life) that I tried smoking an authentic cigar made exclusively for me by the friendly staff lady. The 4 dudes at the Kokoa shop made us feel welcome, providing us with many tastes of unique chocolate samples. Bought quite a bit of chocolate bars and cocoa products. The only drawback were the souvenirs at the main shop; very pricey. Still I highly recommend coming here to experience that wonderful Dominican welcoming hospitality!

Whirlpool Trail
Nice trails, Lovely scenic views, Okay beach.
There was nothing special about the beach area itself. In fact it was little bit dilapidated with some graffiti drawn in some sort of concrete floor-base (see my Whirlpool River Park review). Nice lovely scenic view but I wish people would better take care of this pebbled beach (not for swimming). Sigh <:(

Coffee Shop
My wife and I spent a week at wonderful Luxury Ambar resort (see my main review) in mid-January 2023. Twice or 3 times I stopped by the coffee shop to get some nice coffee (i.e. Irish coffee). Excellent taste, excellent friendly staff. Last day before departure my wife decided to stop by to have some of their famous pastries which were ok. I ended up getting a Barceló Añejo rum bottle at reasonable price!
Bahia Principe Village
My wife and I spent a week at wonderful Luxury Ambar resort (see my main review) in mid-January 2023. The "Village" is very nice with colorful shops. Staff were friendly (even one of them randomly approached us to take us a photo). The only drawback were their merchandise - very, very pricey.

I am a resident in Ottawa and whenever my wife and I come to visit our daughter (and other relatives) in Toronto we ALWAYS stop by this place. It have been a few years now but haven't reviewed the place. Excellent bargains, excellent variety of Asian goods, and prices for the fresh vegetables & meats are descent at best. The only little complaint I have is the cleanliness which could be improved. We'll always come here whenever we visit Toronto.
