River - Glad or Mad Australia

Beautiful landscape with lots of little holes. Unfortunately, we didn't see too many pigeons that day. It was interesting to know this used to be the place to harvest pigeon droppings. Very clever! Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Very spacious and beautifully designed square for the public. It didn't feel crowded at all, and there was always an opportunity for photos. No photos are allowed inside the basilica or the cathedral. You can get a very good view of the buildings from the stone bridge. We captured a few nice photos when the sun was going down.

It was 11:40 AM, February 29th, 2024. An extremely unfriendly and rude lady at the reception. Without greeting or making eye contact, or asking which type of ticket we wanted, all she said was '6 Euro'. We said we would like two combined tickets. Then she said '12 Euro' and put her hand out for money. She seemed very grumpy and somewhat angry. This really ruined our first impression and mood to see the inside. Hence, a low rating for this church. We were quite shocked how such a person can work at the ticket desk, especially in a church.

The cloister was okay, although not impressive. It maintained many original features and looked great. The church was also beautiful and not overly elaborated or decorated.

A very interesting and unique church. The blue and white tiles at the front are very special. There is so much to see for 1 Euro. I was there to see its history, design, and architecture. The front of the church had a few broken pieces in the glass section, which should really be repaired before the damage gets too serious. It is worth noting that there are three levels of exhibits; however, I did not see any elevator.

The Moorish Castle offers fantastic views from its peak. The journey to the top is a relaxing and relatively easy walk, perfect for visitors of all ages. Sections of the castle are original, adding a sense of authenticity to the experience. Overall, the castle is incredibly interesting and definitely worth a visit for anyone exploring Sintra.
