We wandered across this place and seen a big sign "Free Entry!" So we figured why not eh!?

Welp, soon as you step thru the front doors your greeted by somthing akin to Airport security. My wallet flagged up in the machine as it had a multi tool in it. Fair enough, kudos to them for being solid security. The new security guard was nice and the cleaner too, but the rest was all very BUSINESS.

Once we got inside however, we didn't really know what to do, there wasn't much to see either, so we waddled around a little bit, used the loo's and then passed thru security again so I could get my stuff back and left. I'm sure it would be a great time if your into politics, but there is not much here for the normal person. Stunning views from outside tho, and the building itself looks modern and cool.
Honestly to say this place is free entry, is just the cherry on top to this adventure. With 3 floors and a ton to look at and play with, you really can't beat it. I spent 3 hours here with my wife and we still had to leave without and having seen everything. Honestly, it's so bright and well presented with so much to look at and experience. Truely one of the better museums I've ever seen in my travels.

Just watch out for the cafe!! It's £10 for a sandwich, more of you'd like a drink. However I'd your up for supporting the museum, feel free to purchase!! There is also a restaurant on the ground floor for proper foods.

An absolutely stunning little hidden garden away from all the business.

A local shop owner mentioned this place in passing as a nice place to go to get away from the city and just recharge. Unfortunately we came at the time they were closing the gates for the day (5pm?) So we didn't get to see much, but they let us frolick thru right quick as they made sure the place was clear. Seems like it would be a lovely place to go, and from what the shopkeep said, it is never busy.

Also has some in site pamphlets detailing that the garden is managed by the Mushroom Trust! 🍄 Kinda cool haha
Absolutely fantastic locale. For anyone interested in the history of the place, I don't normally recommend tours but for this they'll fill you in on little details you maybe never read about previously. Like for example, STAY ON THE PATHS, there are about 700 headstones here but records show of over 250,000 bodies poorly buried on site. A few weeks back an entire human skull came to the surface...

I would recommend going once in the day and then also again at night. If your lucky you can get some pictures that are out of this world. Also, that's when the atmosphere really SHINES. It's pretty spooky 😲
