VERY busy on a public holiday so I'd recommend going another time if possible. Good variety of shops but hard to fully appreciate when crowded. There's also a nice river nearby to eat your horn bread with a view 🥐.

I don't know if I would recommend making a specific visit here unless there's an exhibit you're keen on visiting, but it's a nice little area to walk around in. There often seems to be people doing photoshoots here if that's your thing.

Yes it's loud and crammed full of tourists like me, but it's iconic for a reason. The history of Ediburgh is fascinating and even just strolling around this area is an amazing experience. There are gems everywhere.

Large menu with several options for vegetarians too. The veggie hotdog didn't disappoint 🌭. We got seated right away on a Saturday night.
