Before traveling to London, friends of ours urged us to visit Bletchley Park where Britain’s most brilliant code breakers played a very critical role in helping to speed up the end of WW2 by one to two years by intercepting German transmissions that were being sent by secret coded messages. The guides who led the tours were well informed and touring the grounds was absolutely fascinating! We took a train to Bletchley Park and the trip from London took about an hour but it was the highlight of our vacation and well worth the excursion.

If you have a dog who likes to run around, you’ll love the Carl Schurtz Dog Run that overlooks the Promenade and the East River. When we were there,it was being power washed! The park is kept spotless and clean which is great for you and your dogs!

When I got off the subway at the Fulton Street subway station, I was surprised to see that I was now in the Fulton Center, which is a gorgeous terminal complete with stores like Krispy Creme and Häagen-Dazs!

If you want to see great theater, you should check out the Second Stage Theater productions! We just saw Grand Horizons, starring Jane Alexander and James Cromwell with an extraordinary supporting cast . It was powerful and brilliantly performed and possibly the best theater we’ve seen in recent months. The shows are performed at the Helen Hayes Theater on West 45th Street.
