Really surprised by this. Hoped to have a wander around, but ended up with a tour (just my wife and I). Tour guide was outstanding. Really interesting and went to lots of places you don't without a tour guide. Had a great hour or so.

Not sure about some of the negative reviews. Yes, it is small, but it is well laid out, interesting and in a stunning building. Some of the art is breathtaking and a strole around for an hour and a half was plenty for us. All uplifted by the art and building we carried on with our La Paz look around.

Great art museum. Good size, well thought out with great explanations. Enjoyed all the art and found a lot out about El Salvador's history I didn't know.
