Manly Beach is iconic. It attracts surfers and swimming and it is less crowded than the eastern suburbs beaches although still busy. There is plenty of shade along the esplanade walkway however bring shelter for spending a day at the beach. 🏖️ also always swim between the flag as the beach gets rough with strong currents

La Coppola is an absolute delight! Let’s start with the food, it’s all about the pizza in this tiny little gem. We had the Mt Etna and Scopello. Both has a really good spicy kick. The crust was perfect, pillowy with smokey wood-fired flavours.
This family run joint has been around forever in Redfern and the reviews are worth the hype. It’s cute and cosy and the food is great.
Good friendly service with a communal table inside and outdoor seating is available as well.

Solid place for all essential shopping and also has an efficient Services NSW. Rebel Sports, Woolies, Big W and chemist warehouse all housed in the plaza. There is a Bing Lee and various phone shops. All housed on the one level with Bing Lee, Services NSW and Rebel on the mezzanine level. Two stories of underground car park with free rates for shoppers.

First Fleet Park is named for the first European settlers that landed near here. It’s located between the Museum of Contemporary Art and Circular Quay so easy to get to via public transport as buses, ferries, light rail and trains are all located in this transport hub.
There is grass and paved areas the public can access. Great for picnics and people watching.
The space is used for a lot of events and exhibitions throughout the year as well included Chinese New Year, the Bastille Festival and the Louis Vuitton SeeLV exhibition.
It’s s free public space when not in used for an event.

We had a great time watching the Matildas in the World Cup at the Sports Bar. The atmosphere is amazing and they went all out with an emcee, face painting and prizes.
They take bookings for groups of 5 and more and it’s worth having a booking to secure a table on busy sports nights. The booth seating is super comfy and chill for watching the games.
The food is typical bar food with burgers, nachos, schnitzel etc. all reasonably priced with quick service. The American Burger is really good. Sign up for the star card, it’s free and it provides a discount of food and beverages.
Parking is ample and is $30 for up to six hours.
