Amazing views from the top of the tower. The road to the tower makes you work hard but the tower itself has an elevator. The history museum inside the tower is ok. Arrive as early as possible in the morning to beat the crazy crowds in the afternoon and evening.

Nice beach where a stream joins the sea. Parts of the beach have black sand. The water is not very clear but looks good for swimming.

This is a small museum mostly displaying artifacts found in the grounds of the Kittur Fort and the areas surrounding Kittur. Lot of the displays are about Kittur Queen Chenamma and her freedom struggle. There are also lot of statues from earlier ages that have been discovered and excavated from this area. Although the items are labeled, the descriptions are lacking.

Small but beautiful ground fort. It's decently maintained and we were able to walk through all parts. Each part is labeled but it would have been great to have a short description of that area. The place is dilapidated but still feels beautiful. There was a local school chorus singing songs about Kittur Queen Chenamma when we visited and it felt very patriotic and made it feel like walking through a movie.

Beautiful line of beaches all along the coastal road from Varkala to Kollam. The beaches are clean, white sand, and nice breeze. Mostly uncrowded. The waters are clear but can be dangerous because of the big waves and the current.
