Dining Experience @ Oriental Dumpling King.

Established in July 2022 by Alana Li and Ying Bai, Oriental Dumpling King is the place for Chinese dumpling connoisseurs, with 6 different dumpling varieties freshly hand-made each day. Offering both steamed and fried dumplings, they quickly gained a following.

Ambience is modern casual, with the warmly lit place arrayed with rows of functional wooden furnishings. Along one wall is a self-service area for customers to help themselves to beverages and condiments.

Service works hard but can sometimes be slow, due to lack of manpower. That said, staff are friendly and polite, demonstrating decent product knowledge and offering recommendations. Cleaning up is occasionally completed fast, other times slow.

Food is Chinese cuisine, focused on dumplings and light bites, made fresh daily with quality ingredients. Tasty and enjoyable. Portions are sized for individuals, or for communal group dining and sharing. Prices are reasonable, budget about AUD $27 per person.

The Spring Roll (AUD $8.20) version here is suitable even for vegetarians, with a satisfying crisp crunchy juicy texture, the piping hot filling carrying lovely vegetal sweet earthy salty savoury peppery spice flavour. Enjoyed this immensely.

The Dumpling Prawn Egg Chives (AUD $15.70) bursts with a juicy tender texture, and carries lovely sweet savoury eggy vegetal herbal flavour. Best paired with some black vinegar and chili oil, for added sour spicy kick.

Established since 1970, this is the largest railway museum in Australia, with over 100 exhibits, including several immersive and interactive displays.

The main sights are the steam and diesel locomotives, railcars whose interiors you can examine, and toy model and virtual railways.

The wide beach flanked by waterfront shops and restaurants is a popular recreational zone, especially for boating.

The long sandy stretches of beach and its clear waters are great for chilling or swimming.

Dining Experience @ 3 Wise Monkeys Pub.

Ambience channels a traditional pub vibe. The sturdy wooden furniture and dim lighting lend atmosphere, while the window seats allow you to watch the world go by.

Service is a little aloof, with minimal interaction. Staff work quickly in cleaning up and serving orders, and security is polite. The menu has clear descriptions, but there's little opportunity for staff to demonstrate product knowledge.

Food is traditional British English pub grub. Taste and quality are slightly above average, while portions are large and hearty. Prices are reasonable, budget about AUD $35 per person.

The Fish And Chips (AUD $23) has freshly battered boneless fillets of barramundi fish, golden brown and crisp crunchy outside, flaky moist inside. Has lovely sweet savoury salty flavour.

There's a fresh mesclun salad of crisp baby spinach, crunchy red onions, juicy zucchini, juicy cherry tomatoes, and crisp chard, dressed with balsamic vinegar, carrying vegetal earthy sour tangy zesty sweet herbal bitter flavour.

Completed with fluffy crisp potato chips with starchy salty savoury flavour.
