Ekaterine (Catherine)

Beautiful historical area of Goa that has the Portuguese architecture preserved. For Europeans it might seem like nothing special but it’s really unique to see it in a country like India. The streets are pretty narrow, it’s recommended to go there on foot as there are no parking. Also many buildings have signs no photo, you can ignore them. 🙂

A beautiful spot with nice views

Looks a bit abandoned and not taken care of but a nice little area to watch the roads and palm trees from top. Hardly any shade though if you decide to sit here during the day

In pictures it looks much nicer and I don't think this is the best spot to view Batumi. Before the church there is small parking area that costs 2gel. The views show the ugly side of Batumi with its random architectural decisions. The church staff is religious fanatics, forcing you to wear smelly skirts. Then they randomly close down the church for a short break, didn't know god takes lunch breaks now. The good part, they have normal WC

The tower near the starting point of the Sameba Church trail is quite charming. While there isn't much to do in the area, the tower enhances the ambiance and provides a picturesque spot for photography.
