"You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them."
Same scam as the other reviews. Reserved a standard SUV months in advance, when I arrived they magically didn't have a single car available, other than a premium SUV (for a grand total of $4000USD, requiring a $10000USD deposit).
Additionally, since you had a "reservation" with them, several other rental companies are unwilling to rent you a car. Ended up using paying over double their quoted rate at another company (America Car Rental), who were actually decent to deal with.

When I went to pick up my car and saw all the negative reviews, I got almost scared off. But honestly, I have rented a car many times already in different cities in Mexico, with different agencies and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Helpful staff, nice clean car, unproblematic pick up and return, no discussions, no aggressive selling of additional insurances as I know it from others. So I felt I have to leave a positive review for a change.
Pésimo servicio, hicimos reservación con 5 meses de anticipación y me hablan un dia antes para decirme que tengo que pagar un seguro de 5000 pesos y sino un depósito de 30,000 pesos !!! Una gran estafa!! No renten JAMAAAS
