Ładnie wykończona rzeźbami fontanna.

Historic but simple fountain with small lion heads embedded on the outside of the basin. Two pairs of intertwined dolphins spouting water into opposites while a simple stone centrepiece also pumps water upwards, filling a small bowl from which additional water spills into the fountain basin. It is a nice thing to see at Piazza Colonna even if perhaps not easy to remember in a city full of rewarding fountains to see.

Non particolarmente bella e neanche molto interessante seppure sia stata realizzata nel 1500 su progetto del Della Porta e all'inizio venne realizzata in maniera molto diversa e armoniosa. La risistemazione della piazza e soprattutto la pavimentazione di via del corso ne fecero cambiare la struttura, sostituire il catino e privilegiare l'allineamento rispetto alla strada. È collegata direttamente all'acquedotto vergine (un pezzo lo vedete dentro la Rinascente, poco distante, e un pezzo su una traversa di via del tritone, NdR). In realtà così viene valorizzata la bellissima Colonna e la sua centralità nella piazzetta. Quasi invisibili i due delfini che hanno sostituito i due precedenti blocchi dai quali usciva l'acqua. Jolie place avec un grande et belle colonne remplie d'histoire en bas-relief au centre. Pas beaucoup de cachettes pour un cache-cache en revanche, mais un peu plus sur la place juste derrière.
