good to try if you’re nearby, though its serves a bit limited options for what omani cuisine can offer in general. The indoor ambiance is a lot more interesting than the entrance from outside. Recommended for tourists and visitors who would prefer top notch dining experience in the city of Muscat.

The food was incredible and the service was also good. We had the most typical food there and it was amazing. The price was also good and we had an amazing time. It was not that busy at the time we were there but the season that we were there was also not the busiest one so it was a good option and we had an amazing time.
It would say this place is so so. Of all the YouTube hype, this place didn’t live up to it. I like the dining style and it’s kinda authentic. I had more fun downstairs at the fish shop.
The entrance is to the right and behind the scary alley way. You will see a bunch of fence and a tiny little sign to go upstairs. At first I was doubting it.
The food is okie. It’s like a good home made meal and every dish is well spiced. Is it worth the reservation and being told to come back another time? It’s probably not.
The special naan is okie and can’t really taste the date flavor. Just go normal and order the meal dishes.

Amazing food and service at the restaurant. Highly recommend coming and trying the seafood soup and mixed grill. The salted shark salad is a little more on the adventurous side of you would like to try. Very family friendly.

After reading rave reviews online, we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant exudes traditional Omani charm with its impeccable service and stunning décor. From the moment we stepped in, we knew we were in for a treat. The food surpassed all expectations, offering a delightful array of local dishes bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply curious about Omani cuisine, Bait Al Luban is the perfect spot to indulge in a memorable dining experience. Five stars all around for this culinary gem.
Delicious spot for authentic Omani seafood - we loved the prawn curry and the grilled fish (the shark salad was interesting, worth a try). The Luban ice cream was delicious and the small additions (Luban water, dates, rose water) were really nice touches. Servers are very nice and attentive, and the outdoor seating area has a beautiful view (though can be quite windy).
Went here as it was near the souk and recommended in Lonely Planet. The atmosphere and service were great and we really enjoyed eating whilst sitting on the floor. However, the food was not all that tasty and quite pricey $$$$. The Omani dried anchovy salad is not for the faint hearted! I can recommend the prawn curry but unfortunately my friends didn’t enjoy their meals - grilled chicken and veg curry. We ate the next night at somewhere more local and it was 1/5 of the cost and much more tasty.
