Amazing visit on a weekday. Entrance to the main building is only 280kc. The evolution and Czech history section is engaging and very well curated. I've visited many museums in Europe, this is one of the best.

A very large and interesting museum will take a couple of hours minimum. Have free bag and coat storage to make the visit easier. One complaint is the lift which is the only way up to the viewing floor took about 10 mins.

Had a good time here, easily spent 5 hours visiting most of the rooms here - we didn't even make it to the new building before our energy ran out.
The app was an invaluable and excellent tool in getting extra information.
There is no need to buy tickets in advance - there are self service kiosks here that accept cards.

The Czech National Museum, located in the heart of Prague on Wenceslas Square, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the rich history and culture of the Czech Republic. The museum's neoclassical building, completed in 1891, is an impressive sight to behold and provides a fitting backdrop for the extensive collection of exhibits housed within.

Visitors to the museum can explore a wide range of topics, from ancient history to modern science, with each exhibit providing a fascinating insight into the country's past and present. One of the highlights of the museum is the "History" exhibit, which offers a comprehensive overview of the region's tumultuous past. Another popular exhibit is "Miracles of Evolution," which showcases some of the most incredible scientific discoveries of recent times.

The museum's observation tower is also a must-visit attraction, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. However, be prepared for a wait, as this is a popular spot for visitors.

The staff at the Czech National Museum are knowledgeable and friendly, providing visitors with personalized attention and guidance throughout their visit. The museum is also family-friendly, with free admission for children aged 15 and under when accompanied by an adult.

Overall, the Czech National Museum is a fascinating and engaging destination that should not be missed by anyone interested in the history and culture of the Czech Republic.

Beautiful museum, one of the best ones I have ever visited. It has beautiful architecture in the second half and there are a lot of information points around exhibitions. The staff are helpful and there are a lot of maps if you get lost. You can go to the top and look out across Prague and get some amazing photos.

There are not enough stars one could give to this place! Getting in was easy thanks to self-service ticket machines. The staff was very helpful, but that only enhanced our overall experience. There is so much to see! I was particularly amazed by the Minerals exhibition and the history exhibitions. It was truly an amazing experience. If you have the time, you can easily stay for the whole day. In 2 hours you would only get a taste of it.

I went to the National Museum in Prague and it was cool to learn about Czech history there. But, it was hard to know where to walk in the museum. Also, my ticket didn't let me see everything, which was a bit disappointing. The parts I could see were really interesting, though. It's a great place with lots of history, but they could make it easier to get around and include more in the ticket.

The Czech National Museum is a real gem. If you are from the Czech Republic, you will visit it many times in your lifetime, but there is always something new to discover. I am reviewing it now after my visit at the end of 2023. Here after several years when it was undergoing many renovations and modifications. I can say straight away that it is amazing.

The basic sightseeing tours have undergone significant change and really are true to the 21st century. They are great for families and adult tourists alike. Everything is viewed created with the history of the Czech Republic and Czech lands in mind, but still has a big and global overlap.

The fact that the building itself is an architectural gem makes a visit a real treat. The main building is connected to the new building of the National Museum, which also offers interesting and usually simultaneous exhibitions.

Allow at least three hours for your tour. I always recommend buying tickets in advance and visiting some of the other exhibitions.
