Great Wolf Lodge | Minnesota

The room was a decent size and worked well for our family. We had one with a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds. The location in regards to the Mall of America is decent, but I wouldn't recommend walking it, especially if you have smaller children. We were under the impression there was a free shuttle to the mall, but that was not the case. We were disappointed that there was no fitness center at this location nor were there any fitness centers close that allowed day passes for out-of-town guests. The waterpark was okay, but it was a bit small compared to other GWL locations. This would be good for younger kids because of its smaller size, but there weren't too many slide options for older kids. The only restaurant option in the hotel was overpriced in my opinion, but that is to be expected to some degree. The Dunkin on site was okay, but the mobile ordering was down for our entire stay, which meant ordering just a coffee was quite the lengthy process. Overall, it's not bad, but we were a bit disappointed when comparing it to other GWL locations we have visited.

The room was clean and neat. The stayed open till 8pm. We were suppose to check in at 2pm, but the room was ready so they checked us in at 10:30am. The kids loved it because they got to spend more time in the water park. I have no complaints at all. Evan I had fun! So if you get a chance go, you won't regret it.

Great experience! Took our 6 year old and 3 year old. The staff was all very kind and helpful. Layout of the resort was easy. Have been to the dells location and this one is easier to get around. Although the water part was smaller than the wisconsin dells, it was still a great park. Would definitely go again. There were a lot of people but didn't seem too over crowded.

Parking was packed and no sense of direction. Room was clean though. Water park was way over crowded. 20+ mins waiting for a water slide. Tubes for lazy river was very limited. Life guards very unfriendly. Pop machine broke in water park, so had to use bar. Only one bartender so the wait was ridiculous for a pop fill. Overall my rating would be 3/10. I’ve heard great things about great wolf but it was nothing to brag about. Half the arcade games weren’t working. Donut shop didn’t even sell donuts but donut holes. Elevators wait time was 4+mins. Restaurant prices were ridiculous for the quality. I’d probably never come back or suggest it to others. Unless they made some changes. And furthermore most hotel pools close at 10-11pm. Why does it close at 8pm? That’s only 3hrs of play time day of check in. Checking out and using waterpark isnt as efficient as having a room. My son had left his phone in the hotel room after check out, a staff member told me to wait in check in line, I waited 32mins before someone called me up. Than I waited 10+ mins for house keeping to respond and say yes or no to a found phone. I’m grateful they found it but there should almost be a desk just for lost & found and odd and end questions. Sometimes we don’t need a check in line.

We took our daughter and few friends for their first time including ours and the minute you walked in there was people to help you and assist you! The check in process was smooth and the staff were very helpful. They have a few different on site places to eat, in different places which is nice so it's not all together, I'm not sure prices but the hotel does offer packages, like an $100 for $70 or $80 but we ordered pizza from an outside vendor to save cost, (free G.C) and packed snacks & beverages.
the rooms have a fridge and microwave which is awesome! We had the room w the bunk beds and we had plenty of room for 3 kids and 2 adults! Only thing to mention is the hotel.room should have more hooks to hang up your swim suit in the bathroom, it only has the towel rack plus the hook on the door and more tubes for the lazy river! Not nearly enough. Otherwise the kids had a great time! It was a success.

I recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge for 1 night as a fun treat for my daughter. The price we received for a Sunday night was a great price which included the hotel room and waterpark. The room itself was standard—nothing fancy and nothing that stood out as amazing. My daughter did like the bunk beds. Although, I will say the bedding provided for the bunk beds was small and barely covered her, and the bedding on the queen bed was basically just a sheet. We had to put on the extra blanket meant for the sofa bed in order to actually be comfortable.

The waterpark was decent. Not too many attractions, but enough for a 6 year old. It was definitely showing signs of aging. There were portions of some slides that looked like they were repaired with duct tape. Not a great look. Also, it would have been great to have the water park open earlier than 10:00, especially with an 11:00 check out time, so that there was more time to play in the park and still be able to access the room for getting ready afterward.

The other attractions is where this resort must make all their money. We only partook in the MagiQuest and Arcade as everything was outrageously expensive. For my daughter to get a wand and game time MagicQuest, it cost $68. The wand was a piece of plastic with lights that stopped working after about 15 minutes. The game was never really explained to us, except you have to go around and light up objects. Half of the objects wouldn’t even work. So, for nearly $70, we now have a useless piece of plastic. Definitely insane. The arcade was tremendously overpriced as well. We purchased 80 credits for about $25, not realizing that games averaged 10-12 credits a piece. That comes out to more than $3 per game. Again, absolutely insane!

Our stay has been great, we are traveling with a 10 month and 3 year old, rooms have good space and are very kid and baby friendly for when they are in there crawling and running around. We did the add on breakfast option and the buffet was great, lots of variety for adult and kids. Pool has been so much fun for both ages too, 3 year old can't get on the big slides but there are enough activities still to entertain him, staff has been over the top excellent, kind, and helpful!

I am very happy with my stay. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my engagement ring in my room, which was extremely upsetting and stressful, as it is something very meaningful to me. I immediately contacted the hotel and returned in hopes that it may have already been found. Although it was not located that evening, the very next day I had my diamond ring safely back in my hands.

It took approximately 14 hours for my ring to be found, and I could not have been more relieved and grateful. The staff, security, and management were all incredibly helpful, professional, and reassuring throughout the process.

I am truly pleased with the level of care and service provided, and I will most certainly be returning. My kids had an amazing time swimming at the water park, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for finding my ring and for providing us with such a wonderful experience overall.
