Tourist price 50k (this is a reasonable price).

It opens at 0730 and I suggest you be there then as it gets extremely hot even by 0900!

Also if you are there early there will only be wedding couples getting pics professionally taken.

I really enjoyed wandering around for about an hour. I don't know how it compares to the big temple complex at Prambanan as it was wayyyy to overpriced at 400k for tourists.

It is great to see that they are using the entry money to rebuild the hundred or so smaller structures around the main temples - knocked over by volcanic related earthquakes. And also they are rebuilding the outside wall. A mammoth task!

Last month was the first time I visited this temple. I am amazed with it. I met bapak juru pelihara and he explained the history of it. This temple is combined between Buddhism and Hinduism. He also explained how the sticked beetwen one stone to another stone. Several days ago, I took my friends to this temple also and they were amazed, too.

Plaosan Temple offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While it's not as close to the bus terminal or Prambanan Temple, being approximately 1-2 km away, the journey is worth it. During the hot summer months, it's wise to bring a hat, umbrella, and sunscreen to shield oneself from the intense sunlight. The affordability of the entrance ticket is a bonus, making it accessible to all. If you're lucky enough to visit on a clear evening, witnessing the sunset can be a breathtaking experience. Additionally, in the evenings, local vendors set up shop in front of the temple, offering a chance to indulge in some local delicacies while soaking in the ancient ambiance.
