You can watch so many different types of films here. Films about ghosts. Films about dark haired ghosts. Films about long haired ghosts. Films about ghosts that crawl, ghosts that hop, ghosts that climb in and out of old wells, ghosts that live in spooky village houses, ghosts that live in spooky apartments, ghosts that live in abandoned hospitals/schools/fast food outlets. Most of the ghosts are female and, in the majority of these films, they died in unfortunate circumstances, which is why they have sought post-mortem employment in the scaring industry.

In some of these highly varied films, people have comedic responses to the appearance of ghosts, causing amusement in the audience. In others, people have fearful responses to the ghosts. Oftentimes, a loud and sudden appearance of a ghost will be used to induce an adrenal response in the audience members.

It is odd that none of these films were recognized at the 2024 academy awards. I can only put it down to bias against the undead in the entertainment industry, which is sad in this day and age.

Quite nice theatre in the middle of the city...
Once finished watching movie you still can hang out with friends or family.. coz so many cafes and street food nearby...

Nice, comfortable place, and clean.
Food was generally cheap and great service.

Djakarta XXI is one of the legendary theaters in Jakarta which has a long history. Until now this studio is still very decent, but the impression gained when watching here is indeed not comparable to other places. For movie ticket prices here are also relatively cheap, facilities are also convenient and ok.
For me, to be honest, this is my first time watching a movie here after a few years in Jakarta, I decided to watch a movie here because there was a purpose to visit Thamrin 10, the new Park and Ride in Jakarta, precisely on Thamrin Street.
