Saint Bavo of Ghent Catholic Cathedral, Liedsevaart

Such a beautiful church. I just loved it. It was a sunny day that I visited and the light in the church was amazing. Also the fact that still today new pieces of (contemporary) art are being added e.g the painting about Mozes in jeans and with a man bun, is wonderful.

What an amazing building; after a long walk in the city, was fantastic to see this beautiful cathedral that just takes to the past and change the mood instantly.

Interesting to see a relatively new church. Many little details to find and appreciate. The sky bridge is worth the effort, but it does involve walking a lot of very narrow spiral stairs. And through the attics over the vaulted ceilings. Definitely mind your head. They do provide plenty of stops along the way including the church's bells and clock. Inside the dome especially if they are playing the organ is quite an experience.
