Very luxurious hotel that was a treat to stay at while exploring the Loire Valley. The spa has an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sanua that guests reserve 2 hour slots at which was amazing. The hotel was able to pick up our car rental in advance since Hertz is closed on sundays.
This one is tough. I don't know if it was the time of year, but the service was lacking throughout our entire stay. It was almost like everyone was new and didn't really know what they should be doing. We waited for 45 minutes at the bar to get a drink, I requested an iron in my room and didn't get it until 36 hours later. The room, although spacious, was lacking basic needs - storage space for clothes, a see-though coat closet where the safe was, a tub that was located in a space with low ceilings, etc... The SPA however was wonderful. We will probably try a new place if and when we come back.
The restaurant was exceptional. We took the 9 course meal with some wine (not the full wine menu).
Every course was delicious and the staff who delivered the food were very friendly and all had some sort of anecdote to share about whatever we said. The manager Stephen was particularly nice and very professional and the it was also nice to meet the chef.
The kitchen is open to the restaurant so it’s interesting to watch the food being prepared.
The birthday cake was a nice touch.
