Do not recommend this place. Highly over priced items you can get cheaper elsewhere in the city. Be especially careful with the Turkish delight shops (pictured on the left in my photo). They charge me 2600 Turkish lira for a tiny box, about $80 USD! I saw receipt and turned around and said no, I want to return. They didn’t want to take it back until the realized I was from a cruise excursion and our excursion guide took us directly to that shop, so I’m sure they have some deal with them they didn’t want to lose and let me return. I’m 100% certain they said that the small box was $38 euros, not what I paid. Alas, I found the same delicious pistachio flavored delights outside of the bazaar for less than $30.

Posto incredibile da mille e una notte con una storia incredibile. Un dedalo di viuzze tutte al coperto con volte decorate. Sempre affollato e pieno di mercanzie. Bisogna contrattare per fare acquisti interessanti. Da non perdere

This place is perfect for changing money/forex as you will get the best exchange rates here. Beware of store keepers though as they tend to inflate prices and rip off tourists. More affordable shops are found just behind the Grand Bazaar, but it’s advisable to shop around as you can often find items at slightly better prices if you try different stores.

Nem az én világom. Bármennyire is azt hiszi az ember,hogy fel van készülve,csak átvágják …. Keresztül sétálni rajta érdemes,de senki ne vegyen semmit. Máshol negyed annyiért megkapod ugyanazt.

Good for the experience. Lots of shops. The scale of it is overwhelming and there is definitely a strong possibility to get disoriented and lose your way. Make sure you know which entrance number you came from if you need to get back. The stores are pretty similar and more less just replications of each other. Bargaining was fun previously however given the economic conditions currently, prices are over priced in my opinion. Interactions with the store staff are a mixed bag. Some of it can be very welcoming however the expectation is to buy. The negotiations can become negative and frustrating when you don't really want the stuff, you end up feeling obligated.
