Let me start by saying I've always found most of the doctors at the practice to be excellent, and the receptionists to be friendly. The challenge is it is almost impossible now to book an appointment unless you have an urgent need. I've called up and been told to book online. It only opens at 9am, so I have to be able to logon during my working day. Every time I've tried to book online (7 or 8 times now) the online portal has been closed to manage demand. So weeks have passed and I'm no closer to getting an appointment. It's so dispiriting and frustrating. I've even paid for private prescriptions online twice recently to try and treat the problem but need further investigations, and can't get anywhere near a GP. I understand that the NHS is facing extremely difficult times but it shouldn't be this difficult to access basic healthcare in 2023.
