This is one of the twin churches situated on the southern end of Piazza del Popolo at the start of Via del Corso. It is next to Santa Maria dei Montesanto. Both were designed by Carlo Rainaldi in the 17th-century and look very much the same, the primary different between the two is the circular shaped nave and dome of Santa Maria dei Miracoli as apposed to the oval shaped configuration of Santa Maria dei Montesanto, due to street and building space at the time of construction.
The interior of Santa Maria dei Miracoli is fairly humbly decorated compared to the many Baroque gems around the city including those lining Via del Corso to the immediate south of Piazza del Popolo.
Worth a 5 minute look-see inside, even if just to see the altar icon image of the Virgin Mary. Then carry on with other intended sightseeing in the area.
