Amazing place, super nice guides.

It's a nice museum with beautiful traditional items and clothing!! Although there are downsides. The museum isn't the largest museum out there, and photos are not allowed, which is okay. But for me the awkwardness was the staff downstairs constantly walking around downstairs, and every time they walked past me, they were looking at me. I just wanted to enjoy the exhibits without feeling like I'm being watched.

Upstairs the staff are much more calm, and that's where the beautiful traditional clothing is, as well as other items!! Fell in love with the traditional appearances! Some museums in Romania will have staff come turn lights on in rooms you're going to go into, and watch and wait for you to leave those rooms, to turn lights off again. Its not an issue and doesn't affect my rating, just something to be aware of.

They do speak very little English, but any Romanian language knowledge will help you, of which I have basic knowledge. Security guard is a cool guy.....

This would be a 5 star if it wasn't for that annoying being watched experience. There are proper reasons for no photos. The flash if used, damages items.

If you love traditional Romanian designs, such as myself, you'll like this museum.
