The sculptures are truly magnificent and beautifully crafted, capturing a wide range of human emotions and experiences. The park itself is well-maintained, providing a serene and picturesque setting that enhances the experience. It’s a popular spot, and for good reason.

A spectacular place, a tourist attraction, a park like few others, a place that you must to visit and enjoy the natural, the artistic, very clean and very well maintained. What is presented speaks for itself, it's expressed strongly, and says a lot... Rich in green areas, colors and environments, depending on the season. It's part of the set of areas and fountains that can be found around the park. Its outside downtown, But very easy to reach by bus or train. Highly recommended.

My only regret is that I couldn't visit this place on a sunny day! Such a picture perfect place it is! A wonderful park to spend a day with your loved ones. There are many open spaces to have picnics, shades of trees to stroll around, numerous statues and fountains to look at, children's playground, etc., making the park a complete package. Would not miss another chance to visit this place.
This huge city park, completed in 1943, contains an impressive collection of sculptures by Gustav Vigeland.
212 sculptures - depict human figures of all ages - from a newborn to an old man worn out by life, all of them are naked, frozen in motion. almost 600 characters in total.
The most impressive thing is the granite Monolith, 17 m high, depicting 121 figures climbing to the top. A sculpture made in one piece of rock!

This park…Absolutely speechless! Magnificent, huge, impeccable, fascinating, beautiful to every single detail, immaculately maintained and fireworks to the eye and soul. I visited a hot Friday in June and there were probably thousands of visitors, but even so, the park was peaceful and welcoming.
Large park for a stroll or picnic. There are very few bathroom facilities and what they do have close early in the evening. There is a great playground for young kids and strange but interesting statues.

This park in Oslo has a lot to do and is very large. The monolith and water fountain is at the center of the park and surrounded by bronze life-size statues. I am sure they tell a story. Our visit was a short one and did not read up on this. There is an attended washroom, cost is 20 KR. The well decorated roses were in bloom when we were there.
An extraordinary garden that showcases the work of an amazingly gifted sculptor. It is a tribute to the man’s exceptional genius. The sculptures in bronze and stone are truly exceptional. The artist has given emotions to stone and metal and made them almost human. Although these pieces of art date back to the last century, the spectrum of thought, ideas and expressions of Vigeland would really amazes anyone. The monolith is absolutely stunning. One cannot miss seeing the park which is in itself also a beautiful garden.
Wenn Sie im Oslo sind dann, ist der Besuch in der Viegeland Skulpturenpark ein muss. Das ist ein Park für jedermann, gratis Eintritt, über 200 Skulpturen und 150 Rosen. Dargestellt wird das Leben vom Geburt bis zum Tod mit alle Lebens Gefühlen. Hier kommen Familien zum Picknicken, Spazieren, nach dem Arbeit erholen oder einen Lunch in völlige Natur und ruhe zum geniessen. Norwegen schätzen ihn sehr. Gut erreichbar auch für die Behinderten Menschen. Auch möglich mit einem Hop On Hop Off Bus. Über Sauberkeit und Ruhe muss ich nicht Reden,ist TOP.
Kostenloser Park mit vielen sehenswerten, teilweise monumentalen Skulpturen des norwegischen Künstlers Vigeland. Die Objekte befassen sich vorwiegend mit dem Leben in all seinen Phasen von der Geburt bis zum Tod. Dazu ist der Park auch von der Anlage her wirklich schön. Im Sommer findet sich hier ganz bestimmt ein schattigen Plätzchen zum Verweilen und Ausruhen. Wer gerne läuft hat hier viele Wege zur Auswahl (wird auch von Sportler*innen genutzt).
Ein wunderschöner Skulpturenpark. Es lohnt sich wirklich an einer Führung dahin teilzunehmen. Die Hintergründe zu den Skulpturen und ihre Erschaffung Geschichte sind absolut faszinierend!
Sehr beeindruckend. Uns fehlte etwas die Zeit uns die Skulpturen in Ruhe anzuschauen. Ode an das Leben, der Name trifft es ziemlich passend. Der Lauf des Lebens vom Embryo bis hin zum zerbrechlichen, alten Menschen. Die Skulpturen sind bewusst nackt dargestellt, man soll sie keiner Zeit zuordnen können- sie sollen zeitlos sein. Komme gern nochmal mit viel mehr Zeit wieder.
